1. Use a Headline That Sparks Curiosity

The headline is the primary gateway to consumer attention. Therefore, avoid flat sentences like "Our products are high quality," which don't arouse curiosity. Instead, use a benefit + curiosity formula to create a more compelling headline, such as "The Secret of Local Coffee That Amazes Coffee Lovers Worldwide." This way, readers will pause and be compelled to learn more.

2. Build Storytelling That's Close to Local Culture

Besides headlines, storytelling is also a powerful tool in copywriting. Indonesian consumers tend to appreciate stories that are relevant to their daily lives. Tell the story of the product's origins, traditional values, or the struggles of MSMEs to make the product feel more relatable and meaningful.

Example: "From a small village in Central Java, this handicraft now adorns modern homes in Jakarta."

This kind of storytelling makes local products more emotional and memorable.

3. Focus on Benefits, Not Just Features

Another important thing is to focus on benefits, not just features. Consumers buy the benefits they experience, not difficult-to-understand technical details. Instead of writing, "This bag is made of genuine leather," use a phrase like, "A genuine leather bag that will last for years, accompanying you on every journey." This way, the product's value proposition is conveyed more clearly and directly addresses the buyer's needs.

4. Use Simple, Persuasive Language

The language used in copywriting should also be persuasive yet simple. Avoid jargon or technical terms that make the message difficult to understand. Use concise, clear, and emotive words to make it easier to grasp. Words like "free," "limited," "exclusive," "saving," or "easy" can be powerful triggers that encourage consumers to act. Simple language will make the message more memorable and more effective.

5. Create a Specific and Compelling Call-to-Action (CTA)

Finally, don't forget the importance of a specific and compelling call-to-action (CTA). A CTA is a direct invitation to consumers to take a specific action. Avoid generic CTAs like "Buy now," which are too general. Use a more detailed and compelling CTA, for example, "Order this exclusive batik today and enjoy a 20% discount." Clear and specific CTAs have been shown to significantly increase sales conversions.
